Both volutes are stamped with the same number created by the plastic mold. However, where the brass insert is inserted into the rear of the volute determines what size motor frame it will attach to. Make sure you order the correct volute. The 48 frame motor version is part # 315-2301. The 56 frame motor version part number is 315-2311.
The faceplates and orings are identical.
