These Waterway pump traps look similar, but they are not interchangeable. Before you order a replacement be sure to check the size of the union nut that connects the trap to the face of the pump. The union nuts are different sizes and are labeled with different part numbers(as shown in lower pics). Trap 310-6500 will fit the Hi Flo and Hi Flo II pumps. Trap 310-5400 will fit the Iron Might, E Series, Spa Flo, TWM, and Center Discharge pumps.
Replacement for Rec Warehouse Turbo Jet?
8 MarWith some modifications this might work
The Rec Warehouse “Turbo Jet” is no longer manufactured. The large wall cutout (4.75″ diameter) is larger than any conventional above ground pool return. This “Old Faithful” jet is as close as you are going to get.
The faceplates and gaskets are the same size. They are designed for the same size wall cut out.
You will also need a few more wall gaskets ( 711-7300), some 1/2″ pvc to make the air channel, and a 2″ slip to 1.5″ hose adapter fitting.
A few parts for the “old” style Turbo Jet and the entire replacement fitting 210-7310 are available at http://www.waterwayparts.com
Why only replacing the valve internals is a good idea…
25 Jan1. You do not remove valve from tank.
2. No plumbing needs to be disconnected.
3. Only six bolts are removed. Internals lift straight out.
4. Job only takes 5 minutes.
However, if the valve body is cracked this will not repair the leak. If your valve is leaking out the backwash port when the valve is on filter, this is the easiest fix. Entire valve WVS003 cost $109.99 or the “key cover” $84.99 Part number 600-9600
How to Prevent Hot Tub Foam
25 Jun1.Prevent foam by showering before soaking in the hot tub. That will wash off all the soap residue, makeup, and other body chemicals.
2.Make sure bathing suits are cleaned and rinsed with fresh water before getting in the hot tub.
3.Don’t go underwater. Long-haired soakers should wear a baseball cap to keep their hair up.
4.Don’t buy cheap chemicals. Get the right chemicals from a trusted hot tub supply store.
5.Don’t drink in the hot tub to avoid the risk of spilling it in the water.
6.Drain and clean a hot tub regularly. Do this every 3 to 4 months.
New Turbo Jet Return
29 MayThe return fitting on the left is the old “Rec Warehouse” style Turbo Jet. The fitting on the right is the new style. The wall fitting and retainer ring have changed and are not interchangeable. The other parts remain the same.
If you have the “old” style and need to replace the wall fitting, you will need to also purchase the”new” style retainer ring and “new ” style wall fitting. Parts and complete Turbo Jets are available from Waterwayparts.com

WATERWAY and AQUASTAR SAND FILTER DRAIN CAPS
24 JulNotice the rounded threads ( approx 4 threads) . This is what makes this cap easy to identify once you have lost it. This cap part number at http://www.waterwayparts.com is 602-5321. It will also require an o-ring (805-0224) Below are images of the same model sand filter tank drain (pre 2011) that requires a different drain cap. Notice the threads are not as rounded and there are approx. 8 threads. This cap part number at http://www.waterwayparts.com is 602-5301.This cap also requires the same o-ring (805-0224).
Waterway Sand Filter Caps
7 JunYes, both caps are approximately 2 3/8″ inside thread diameter. They are NOT interchangeable. Look closely at the threads. 602-5321(middle photo) has a rounded thread. This is the current style. The older cap(bottom) 602-5301 has a much sharper angled thread. The change occurred in about 2010. If you can not remember what shape the old drain cap was round or hexagon you will need to examine the threads on the sand tank. Both caps require the same o ring (805-0224). All these parts are available at http://www.waterwayparts.com
Weir? Skimmer door?
6 MarMost pool skimmers have a flapping baffle, called a wier, that helps to keep any floating matter trapped inside it, as well as regulate the amount of water that it processes at any given time. In the well of the skimmer, you’ll find a basket, where leaves, bugs, and other debris can collect. The baskets can easily be removed from outside of the pool and its contents dumped out. Doing this regularly will ensure consistent water flow to your filter system. This Waterway skimmer door has part number 519-3060 written on it. The part number with the foam insert is 542-3060 (white). These skimmer doors are proprietary, they only work on the manufactures models. (not interchangeable)
