Spa pump cord

16 Jan

Your spa control power cord is dedicated to your model of control and must be re-used on your new pump. New pumps most often ship without a power cord

Remove the cord from your old pump, and note, (take a pic with your phone) the wire color going to high speed or low speed terminals on any motor, the color is set or determined by the maker of the spa control, not by the pump or motor manufacturer. Before you remove the power cord from your old pump, look at the old motor wiring label and make a note of what color goes to high, and to low. Then, put the cord on your new motor/pump, using the same color for high as on the old motor and also for low speed wiring.

THIS IS ONLY AN EXAMPLE!!!!!!

ECO-KLEER SAND FILTERS

16 Jun

ECO-KLEER FONT

Waterwayparts.com can help you with your Eco-Kleer sand filter. If you need a parts list or replacement parts we ask you email your requests to sales@waterwayparts.com.

Because some of the parts may change from year model it is always helpful to include a image of your particular filter system.

Sand in your filter should be changed every 3-5 years. This might be a good time to inspect the laterals in the bottom of your tank to be sure they have not developed any cracks. If you have been getting sand shot back into your pool this could be the problem.

There are other issues that can cause the same problem. If the “spider gasket” in your top mount multi port valve is worn , or the spring in the valve is weak, or you have incorrectly attached your filter hoses you may also see sand on the bottom of your above ground pool.

Waterwayparts.com has all the parts needed to repair the multi-port valve or you may want to just purchase an entire new valve. Just email any questions to sales@waterwayparts.com

How to Prevent Hot Tub Foam

25 Jun

1.Prevent foam by showering before soaking in the hot tub. That will wash off all the soap residue, makeup, and other body chemicals.
2.Make sure bathing suits are cleaned and rinsed with fresh water before getting in the hot tub.
3.Don’t go underwater. Long-haired soakers should wear a baseball cap to keep their hair up.
4.Don’t buy cheap chemicals. Get the right chemicals from a trusted hot tub supply store.
5.Don’t drink in the hot tub to avoid the risk of spilling it in the water.
6.Drain and clean a hot tub regularly. Do this every 3 to 4 months.

Swim Spa Viper Pumps

20 Jan

The single speed 4 or 5 hp Waterway Viper Pumps commonly used on swim spas can develop leaks. A common spot for a leak is the face plate of the pump (suction side). Overtightning, freeze damage, or vibration can cause your faceplate to crack and leak. Don’t replace the entire pump. You can purchase the faceplate only at http://www.waterwayparts.com

The part number is 311-1510

Choosing the right Waterway spa pump….

IMG_2278To ensure the correct replacement, check the “nameplate” of your old pump, located on the side of the motor. The main information to look for on this label is:   Frame Size  (48 or 56)

CAT

Also, we will need the measurement (outside thread) of the intake and the discharge. Is the discharge Vertical? Horizontal?
