These Waterway pump traps look similar, but they are not interchangeable. Before you order a replacement be sure to check the size of the union nut that connects the trap to the face of the pump. The union nuts are different sizes and are labeled with different part numbers(as shown in lower pics). Trap 310-6500 will fit the Hi Flo and Hi Flo II pumps. Trap 310-5400 will fit the Iron Might, E Series, Spa Flo, TWM, and Center Discharge pumps.
Waterway has re-designed the 2″ split nut.The “newer” version(left) is 100% compatible with the “older” version(right). These split nuts are very common on the Baquapure pumps. They are used to connect the trap to the pump face. The new part number is 400-5161. The old part number was 415-5201
To ensure the correct replacement, check the “nameplate” of your old pump, located on the side of the motor. The main information to look for on this label is: Frame Size (48 or 56)

Also, we will need the measurement (outside thread) of the intake and the discharge. Is the discharge Vertical? Horizontal?
